stud guard crescent long girth, SLIM-LINE Version 2022
Designed in partnership with professional riders, we developed our Mattès half-moon stud guard girth (2022 Version) taking into account the specific interests of certain renowned riders. But it is just as suitable for amateur riders. The stud guard is covered with leather and has a shock-absorbing core.
The martingale can be easily attached - according to riders' preferences - thanks to a snap hook.
Design
- Removable cover in genuine lambskin with rolled edges to prevent chafing.
- Slim-Line leather finish: • Even more freedom at the elbows, more elegant and flatter and thinner • Easy removal of the plastic insert and reassembly after washing • Visible surfaces in leather. The straps are available in black, brown, and champagne leather.
- Elastic to facilitate girthing and horse comfort
- Buckles mounted on stainless steel springs
- Rings for martingales in stainless steel.
Girth shape:
- Girth in crescent shape for horses with narrow chest and well-rounded, prominent ribs just behind the elbows. This is often the case for short-backed horses (such as Arabian mares) for which other girths no longer fit.
- The crescent moon-shaped cutout frees the girth towards the back, respecting the thoracic and ventral curves. As a result, the girth is less likely to slip forward on horses that do not have room for a girth passage.
- The girth also features an additional cutout in the elbow movement area
Usage:
-
To facilitate drying, to match your sets, Mattès created the girth with a removable sheepskin cover.
