Montreal 200 g turnout blanket

The winter version of the Montreal: 200 g of filling under the same 1200-denier ripstop fabric.

1200-denier ripstop fabric, 4,000 mm water column, breathability of 3,000 g/m² in 24 hours — the waterproofing remains unchanged; only the filling is doubled. The rug is made without a back seam, with a forward-positioned wither: it measures approximately 10 cm more than the horse’s back, intentionally, so it sits in front of the withers, covers the shoulder, and does not slip backward when the horse lowers its head. Optional leg straps, a low tail strap, a large tail flap, crossed surcingles with an elastic insert, a smooth lining, loops for the matching neck cover, and a double swivel-hook fastening secured with Velcro at the chest.

🧴 Care instructions

Fasten all the Velcro closures and place the rug in a thick washing bag: without one, the hardware hits the drum, opens, and rusts. Wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, using a detergent specially designed for outdoor rugs. Do not reproof it: the waterproofing comes from a coating applied to the back of the fabric, which a water-repellent product will damage. Once a year, a specialist cleaner can take care of the rest.
