An ice pack placed directly against the leg wets the hair and eventually damages it. The compartment insulates the pack: the leg receives the cold or heat, never the water.

The Hot/Cold pack is not included — it must be ordered separately (reference 794002). Never apply a pack directly to the skin. In the event of swelling, heat, or lameness, contact your veterinarian first.
