A straight-bar loose-ring leather bit.

✨ Key features

  • ✔ A leather mouthpiece, a soft material that warms to the temperature of the mouth.
  • ✔ Straight, single-piece mouthpiece with no joint.
  • ✔ The rings slide freely through the mouthpiece. The rein aid is therefore less direct than with a fixed-ring bit: the bit moves, so the horse cannot lean against a fixed point of resistance.

📋 Technical specifications

  • Type: loose-ring bit
  • Material: leather
  • Mouthpiece: straight
  • Mouthpiece thickness: 20 mm
  • Sizes (mm): 115 / 125 / 135 / 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

A single-piece mouthpiece distributes pressure across the entire tongue, with no folding point.

🧴 Usage advice

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit ruler, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Fit rubber bit guards: it is between the loose ring and the mouthpiece that the corner of the mouth gets pinched. ⚠️ Dry the mouthpiece after each use and grease it regularly.

About TRUST Equestrian ...

TRUST Equestrian is a Dutch brand specializing in bits and leatherwork. Its bits are designed, developed, and manufactured in the Netherlands, where a team of technicians assembles them by hand. Production of Sweet Iron mouthpieces began more than fifteen years ago, followed by Leather and then Inno Sense mouthpieces. The range now includes three materials, twenty-two mouthpieces, and thirty-four types of shanks, totaling more than two thousand different bits. TRUST bits are anatomically shaped: slightly curved, they follow the shape of the horse’s mouth. The leather collection is made from European full-grain leather, and each model takes the anatomy of the modern horse into account.
