The difference is not cosmetic: a dressage saddle pad is longer and straighter to follow the long flaps of a dressage saddle. An all-purpose pad would leave the flap sticking out.

🧴 Care instructions
Pull the pad well up into the gullet before girthing. Wash without fabric softener and air-dry to preserve the Coolplus properties.
