BEECH TAR AEROSOL
Waterlogged ground, a crumbling frog, a muddy paddock? Horse Master's Beech Tar protects the sole and frog with a waterproof barrier offering antiseptic and fungicidal properties. In aerosol form: spray it on—no brush and no tin left lying around.
Wood tar is the traditional hoof treatment par excellence, and for good reason: it works. Its recognized antiseptic and fungicidal properties help keep the sole and frog healthy, while its waterproofing power limits water absorption in damp conditions—turnout on waterlogged ground, wintering, or heavily soiled bedding. It can also be used occasionally on cracks or pasterns during mud fever flare-ups.
The aerosol format makes everyday care easier: no more tar on your fingers, even application in just a few seconds, and a bottle that stays clean at the bottom of your tack trunk.

🐎 Why choose Beech Tar?
Because the hoof makes the horse, and a healthy frog gets through winter without trouble. It is the most cost-effective care step of the wet season: a few seconds after picking out the hoof, and it stays protected.
🧴 Directions for use
- Shake the aerosol for a few seconds before use.
- Spray onto the sole and frog after picking out the hoof.
- Reapply according to conditions and the state of the hoof.
- ⚠️ Do not apply to the top of the hoof (hoof wall)—tar blocks moisture exchange there.
- ⚠️ Limit use during very dry periods, when the hoof needs to breathe.
