Fresh chicken 50%, dehydrated chicken, dehydrated potato, apple pulp, fresh salmon 4%, vegetable glycerin, salmon oil.
Functional ingredients
Salmon oil: a source of Omega 3 that reduces the risk of skin dehydration (improves the epidermal barrier, appearance, and feel of the skin and coat). Salmon oil also provides an anti-inflammatory effect.
Vitamin E: its antioxidant effect has a dual action: it protects the skin and Omega 3 fatty acids from oxidative damage such as pollution, oxygen, stress, inflammation...
Biotin: it plays a role in lipid metabolism and the skin keratinization process. Its deficiency is associated with dull coat, brittle hair, increased hair loss, dandruff, itching, and dermatitis.
Zinc*: it is an essential mineral for skin health (also for the immune, reproductive, and thyroid systems). Its deficiency is associated with alopecia, scaling, seborrhea, dermatitis... It helps keep the skin and hair hydrated.
*There is a hereditary disease (zinc deficiency syndrome) in the Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky, and Bull Terrier. They then show skin problems a few months after birth and require specific veterinary zinc supplementation treatment. It is also found in Great Danes, Saint Bernards, Dobermans, Beagles, and German Shepherds.
Warning: an excess of zinc can cause toxicity (importance of not freely giving mineral supplements)
