Size Guide – Straps Mattès

Take the measurements

Re-cinch before measuring the strap length. The cinching should be done through the same hole on each side.

Measure from the bottom edge of one quarter to the bottom edge of the other quarter, subtract 30 cm. Always round up to the next length.

EXAMPLE :
Measurement = 101 cm
Subtraction 101 – 30 = 71cm
Strap length = 75 cm

🛑 Make sure that the loops of the new strap are located clearly above the elbow movement area!

Choose the type of strap

anatomical

For horses with a marked girth passage located far enough from the elbow. The girth is cut at the front and back at elbow level.
(The strap can be rotated.)

asymmetric

For horses with a girth pass close to the elbow or less marked, when the girth tends to slide forward. At the front, the girth has a sharp cutout at the elbow.

half-moon

For rounder horses with a short back, wide ribcage, and narrow chest. Thanks to its special shape, the girth follows the curve of the ribs well, preventing it from slipping forward.

athletico

For horses with an athletic build that tapers towards the rear. In almost all cases, the special cut of the girth prevents the saddle and girth from slipping backward.
