🧵 How to fit your Horseware rug

The fit of your rug is essential for your horse's comfort and to prevent rubbing or premature wear. Every horse has a different build, so it is recommended to take accurate measurements before choosing a size.

📐 Measuring points

A → B: from the centre of the chest, over the point of the shoulders, to the centre of the tail
C → D: from the withers to the base of the tail (back seam)

📝 Tip: once the A-B measurement has been taken, subtract 10 cm (4 inches) to determine the size to order.

Horseware rugs are available in different weights. Here is a simplified scale:

Lightweight: 50g
Mediumweight: 200g / 250g
Heavyweight: 300g / 400g

A waterproof Turnout rug is ideal for horses living in the field. Remember to adapt the weight to the weather conditions.

🐴 Horseware® 400g Liner - Maximum warmth without layering blankets

400 g thermobonded synthetic filling: the warmest weight in the liner range
Attaches with Velcro loops at the neck and clips at the rear corners
Compatible with Horseware® turnout and stable blankets fitted with liner loops
Breathable, rounded leg openings at the front, front Velcro fastening
Machine washable
The 100 g, 200 g and 300 g versions are available in the shop

🧼 Recommended care:

Machine wash at 30 °C - close Velcro fasteners and attach clips and straps
Air-dry only, away from heat sources - do not tumble dry
Do not iron, do not use bleach

📦 Storage tips:

Once dry, fold carefully and store in a breathable bag
Keep in a cool, dry place away from moisture and sunlight
The original packaging can be used as a storage or transport bag
