A leg that overheats under a boot is the main criticism levelled at all solid-shell boots. The open mesh solves this specific problem during long sessions and in summer. A boot protects the inside of the cannon bone and fetlock, where the other leg can strike when the horse crosses its legs or turns sharply. It is designed to be worn during work, not in the pasture or stable: if worn continuously, it will make the leg sweat instead of protecting it.
🧴 Care instructions
Place it on a clean, dry leg, with the shell facing outward and the fastenings directed toward the rear and outward. Tighten it so that you can slide one finger between the boot and the cannon bone. ⚠️ Remove them as soon as the session ends. Rinse with clean water after each use and leave to air-dry, never on a radiator. Regularly check the condition of the Velcro fastenings, as these are the first part to give way.
