Usage
- Diatomaceous Earth powder is made from earth sourced from quarries of fossilized microscopic marine algae. Application method:
1. MINERAL BARRIER
- Diatomaceous Earth forms a mineral barrier against the establishment of many crawling insects in the habitat and parasites in the environment of domestic animals: fleas, ticks, bed bugs, cockroaches, silverfish, red mites…
- Apply 20 - 30 g/m². Repeat application after powder dispersion.
2. BEDDING DRYER
Regular cleaning of breeding areas (poultry house, kennel, etc.):
• Clean the breeding premises
• Wash and dry the floors
• Install clean bedding (straw or other)
• Spread the powder at a rate of 100 g/m² (4-6 handfuls)
• Sprinkle Diatomaceous Earth powder again on the bedding, 100 g/m².
- Pay particular attention to treating floor joints and walls as well as corners where moisture can develop.
- Ideally, we recommend regular treatment of the premises 1-2 times per week.
