This summer sheet protects against rain, sun, and insects. It combines sturdy, breathable 600D polyester with a waterproof coating, heat-sealed seams, and a smooth 190T nylon lining. Its 100% polyester mesh lining features a zebra pattern. The supplier states that research has shown that a zebra pattern attracts fewer flies.
The anatomical neck cover is fixed, with a double Velcro fastening and a waterproof stretch panel integrated at the withers for freedom of movement. It attaches to the halter with three elastic Velcro fasteners.

A summer sheet that also keeps out the rain means you do not have to change equipment every time there is a shower. The stretch panel at the withers allows the horse to lower its head to graze without the sheet pulling. A fly sheet creates a physical barrier between the insect and the skin: unlike repellents, it is the only protection that does not evaporate or wash away in the rain. For a horse sensitive to insect bites or prone to sweet itch, it can transform the summer.
🧴 Care instructions
The mesh can be machine-washed at a low temperature, inside out to protect the fabric. ⚠️ Do not use fabric softener or tumble-dry: the fibres may become misshapen. Air-dry. ⚠️ For a sheet, the size indicated is the back length: measure from the withers to the base of the tail, along the spine.
