Copper is the great forgotten nutrient in rations. Yet in growing foals, it plays a key role in bone development.

Foran Equine is an Irish brand founded in 1974, developed by a team of veterinarians, chemists, equine nutritionists, and riders. It made a name for itself on racecourses in the English-speaking world before arriving in France, where Pommier Nutrition has been distributing it for nearly twenty years.

Coppervit is a complementary feed based on organic copper, enriched with manganese, vitamin E, biotin, and vitamin B12. Chelated copper is better absorbed than its mineral form: a small daily dose is enough to meet requirements.

The manufacturer recommends it for breeding — copper levels influence mare fertility, tissue elasticity, and skin health, while foals and yearlings need it for bone structure — but also during training and when preparing for sales, when it improves coat quality.

🧴 Directions for use

• Foal: 10 ml per day. Yearling: 15 ml per day.
• Adult horse and broodmare: 30 ml per day.
• Mix into the ration every other day, or administer directly into the mouth.
