The Montreal rain sheet, without fill: waterproof and breathable, to wear on its own in mild weather or over a liner.
Without insulation, it does not keep the horse warm—it provides shelter. The 1,200-denier ripstop fabric withstands a 4,000 mm water column and offers breathability of 3,000 g/m² over 24 hours. The sheet is made without a back seam, with a forward-cut withers design: it is intentionally approximately 10 cm longer than the horse’s back, so it sits in front of the withers, covers the shoulder, and does not slip backward when the horse lowers its head. Optional thigh straps, a low-set tail strap, a large tail flap, crossed surcingles with elastic inserts, a smooth lining, loops for a neck cover, and a double swivel-hook fastening backed with Velcro.

🧴 Care instructions
Fasten all the Velcro straps and place the sheet in a sturdy laundry bag: without one, the hardware bangs against the drum, opens, and rusts. Wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, using a special detergent for outdoor blankets. Do not re-waterproof it: the waterproofing comes from a coating applied to the back of the fabric, which water-repellent products can damage. Once a year, a specialist cleaner can take care of the rest.
