Two metres are enough for leading, but not for training. At four metres, the horse can move in a small circle, back up, or stand side-on without the line restricting it or dragging on the ground. The braided polyester maintains body in your hand without becoming stiff, while the leather reinforcements at the ends protect the areas that wear first, at the snap-hook connection.
