🧴 Usage advice
⚠️ Bit size is given in millimeters: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit ruler, or measure the bit it currently wears: if it is too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if it is too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. Choose the thickness according to the mouth: a thick mouthpiece distributes pressure over a larger surface, but takes up too much space in a shallow mouth or with a thick tongue. ⚠️ With a single rein, a Pelham rounding is required between the large ring and the lower ring. A curb chain is essential. ⚠️ Check the mouthpiece regularly: when correctly positioned on the bars, it rarely becomes damaged, but a sharp tooth can wear it down.
