A 2.5-ring bit made of blue-patina Sweet Iron, with a Cherry Roller mouthpiece.
✨ Key features
- ✔ Sweet Iron is a mild steel that is blued during manufacturing by heating. When exposed to humid air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit better.
- ✔ Single-jointed mouthpiece fitted with free-moving rollers on each side. The rollers discourage the horse from grabbing the bit or holding it between its teeth.
- ✔ A milder version of the three-ring (Pessoa) bit: leverage is present and becomes more direct the lower the rein is attached. The loose rings allow the bit more movement than a version with eggbutt rings.

🐎 Why choose this product?
The rollers occupy the mouth of a horse that tries to hold its bit between its teeth—a habit that ruins all contact.
🧴 Instructions for use
⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit measuring gauge, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Leverage acts on the poll: use it with a light hand and check the cheekpiece adjustment. ⚠️ The blue colour turns silver-grey or brown-grey with use, and an orange film appears when the bit remains unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behaviour, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful.
