Use

• For preventive control to avoid invasions of crawling pest insects such as:
• Ants - carrying aphids and thus boosting the colonies.
• Aphids - directly contributing to the general weakening of the infested tree.
• Earwigs damaging stone fruits at the end of ripening.
• Defoliating caterpillars and other crawling insects feeding on young shoots/leaves.

1. First, wrap the foam around the trunk (at least 40 cm from the ground), stretch, secure with two pins, and cut off the excess.
2. Then, perform the same operation with the green mesh, avoiding overlapping in the same spot.
3. Once in place, the collar is ready to be glued. Apply two lines of glue to create a better barrier against ants.
4. At the foam band overlap, check that there is no possible passage for ants; if so, apply a few drops of glue to block their passage.
5. Check once a month that the collar is not saturated with insects.
6. Reapply glue if necessary.

• avoid the presence of tall grass or low branches, which would create pathways for insects to reach the upper parts of the tree without passing through the trunk.
• Collar lifespan: until saturated by insects; if necessary, the collar can be re-glued using the glue tube.
