🐎 Why choose this product?
At 340 g, this is the warmest model in the Classic range, suitable for a clipped horse, an older horse, or one that spends the winter outdoors. The fill weight is the amount of filling, in grams per square meter: it is what provides warmth. As a general guide: 0 to 50 g for basic rain protection, 100 to 150 g for transitional seasons, 200 to 300 g for winter, and more for a clipped horse or one that lives outdoors. If a horse sweats under its blanket, it is too warm: a slightly lighter fill weight is better than leaving the horse wet with sweat.
🧴 Care and use advice
Brush the blanket when it is dry rather than washing it too often: every wash damages the waterproof coating. ⚠️ Do not use fabric softener, as it clogs the breathable membrane. After a few seasons, a reproofing product for technical fabrics can restore the water-repellent finish. ⚠️ The stated size is the back length: measure your horse from the withers to the base of the tail, along the spine. A blanket that is too short pulls on the shoulders and rubs the withers; one that is too long shifts around and can cause the horse to catch its feet in it.
