These are true fixed reins, with no elastic: nothing absorbs the movement, so the limit is clear. The horse meets a firm stop and learns to lean into it to engage the muscles of its neck—something an elastic model, which is more forgiving, cannot achieve as precisely.

🧴 Usage advice

⚠️ With no elastic, these reins do not forgive an adjustment that is too short: start at the longest of the five rings and shorten by one notch per session. Never leave a horse wearing training reins unattended, and begin by working at the walk for a few minutes.
