A chest harness, not a halter: traction is distributed across the entire forehand instead of bearing on the foal’s poll and neck.
In a foal, the poll, nuchal ligament, and cervical vertebrae are still developing. A firm pull on a halter is concentrated exactly there. The Foalmaster shifts the pressure to the broad, padded chest and eliminates any pressure on the neck. The back is covered by a padded anatomical piece, extended by a grab handle: you guide the foal with one hand on its back, without ever pulling it by the head. The belly strap fastens with a clip.
