Kavalkade Size Guide – Rugs
The size of a Kavalkade blanket — whether a fleece cooler blanket or an outdoor blanket — corresponds to measurement A-B: from the middle of the withers to the base of the tail, following the topline.
Taking the measurements
- A-B — the product size. From the middle of the withers to the base of the tail. This measurement, in centimetres, determines the size to order.
- C-D — for greater accuracy. From the middle of the chest to the middle of the back of the hindquarters, around the flank. Useful if you are unsure between two sizes.
A-B / C-D conversion chart
| A-B (size) | C-D |
|---|---|
| 115 cm | 165 cm |
| 125 cm | 175 cm |
| 135 cm | 185 cm |
| 145 cm | 195 cm |
| 155 cm | 205 cm |
| 165 cm | 215 cm |
Approximate measurements provided by the manufacturer. For sizes 80, 90 and 100 cm — ponies and Shetlands — the same rule applies: the size corresponds to measurement A-B.
Two points to note
- The actual product length is 5 to 10 cm longer than the stated size, depending on the material. This is intentional: the blanket sits in front of the withers, protects the shoulder and does not slip backwards over this sensitive area.
- If your C-D measurement differs from the chart: for broad shoulders, choose the next size up; for narrow shoulders, choose the next size down.
If you are unsure, send us both measurements and we will recommend the appropriate size.
