The versatile model in the Alaska IV range: 100 g of filling, with the cut and waterproofing of the extreme-cold model, for autumn and mild winters.

The same 1200-denier ripstop fabric as its big sister, with the same specifications — 4,000 mm water column and 3,000 g/m² breathability over 24 hours — with only the filling differing. The blanket is made without a back seam, with a forward-set wither: it measures approximately 10 cm more than the horse’s back, deliberately, so it sits in front of the withers, covers the shoulder and does not slip backward when the horse lowers its head. It accommodates leg straps and features an elasticated freedom-of-movement pleat, crossed surcingles with elastic inserts, a padded wither area and a smooth lining. The chest is adjustable with a double clip and two rings.

🐎 Why choose this product?

This filling is suitable for the greatest number of days throughout the year. On an unclipped horse, 100 g is sufficient for much of the winter, and an underblanket can be layered underneath on freezing nights.

🧴 Care instructions

Fasten all the hook-and-loop closures and place the blanket in a thick laundry bag: without one, the hardware hits the drum, opens and rusts. Wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, using a detergent specially formulated for outdoor blankets. Do not reproof it: the waterproofing comes from a coating applied to the back of the fabric, which a water-repellent product can damage. Once a year, a specialist dry cleaner can take care of the rest.

Composition

80% polyester, 10.75% polypropylene, 7% metal (hardware), 1% elastane, 1% PVC, 0.25% rubber.
