The softer the ground, the wider the stud needs to be to provide support instead of sinking in. These 12 mm studs are the next step up from the 10 mm model. W3/8 thread, the most widely used Whitworth thread for tapped horseshoes in Europe. ⚠️ Not compatible with an M12-tapped horseshoe: check the thread of your stud holes before ordering.
🧴 Usage tips
Clean the stud hole with a tap and then a brush before screwing in the stud: forcing a stud into a dirty hole can damage the horseshoe's thread. ⚠️ Remove the studs as soon as the event is over and plug the holes: a horse that remains shod with studs in its stall, pasture, or trailer may injure itself when lying down or moving around.
