Wide chest plate and memory foam: pressure is distributed instead of concentrated.

Memory foam is sensitive to temperature and pressure: under load, it molds precisely to the girth area, distributes pressure evenly, and returns to its original shape once the saddle is removed. It relieves sensitive areas and follows every movement. Here, it is covered with neoprene. The Comfort model features a wide abdominal chest plate: the load is distributed over a larger surface area, relieving pressure on the sternum. No elastic, central D-ring, stainless steel hardware.

The sternum is where a girth causes the most discomfort. A wide chest plate makes more difference there than any additional padding.

🧴 Care instructions

Rinse with clean water after each ride and hand wash at 30°C with mild soap. Dry flat in the open air: no tumble dryer or radiator, as heat causes the foam to harden.

The little story...

I founded Sellerie Bucéphale in 2008 by opening a shop in the Drôme department (in France) because, as a dressage rider, I couldn’t find suitable equipment in the area. My presence quickly expanded by attending dressage competitions, local contests, and national and international events.

To meet the needs of all riders, I developed a website, allowing everyone to access high-quality technical products that are tested and approved.

Since 2016, I have been based in the city of Orange (in France) and am a partner of the regional dressage circuits.

I strive to offer custom-made and customizable items, and I place great importance on direct relationships with my customers.
