The matching neck cover for the 50 g Icelandic turnout blanket.
It completes the turnout blanket designed for Icelandic horses. With 50 g wadding, windproof, waterproof and breathable fabric (4,000 mm water column, breathability of 3,000 g/m² over 24 hours), it is resistant to tearing and abrasion. Two Velcro fasteners on each side secure it to the blanket, while two others under the neck prevent the neck cover from twisting.

On a clipped horse, the neck is the first area to get cold and the first place where water seeps under the blanket when it rains. A matching neck cover solves both problems at once.
🧴 Care instructions
Fasten all the Velcro closures and place the blanket in a sturdy laundry bag: without one, the hardware bangs against the drum, comes undone and rusts. Wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, using a special detergent for turnout blankets. Do not re-waterproof it: its waterproofing comes from a coating applied to the back of the fabric, which a water-repellent product can damage. Once a year, a specialist dry cleaner can take care of the rest.
