LINSEED OIL provides a regular supply of fatty acids rich in omega 3, 6, and 9. This excellent quality oil promotes weight gain in thin horses and has a beneficial effect on hair and skin. LINSEED OIL is also suitable for horses in training for which it is necessary to increase the energy density of the ration.

Vegetable oils have many benefits in horse nutrition:
1. They are an energy source:
Adding oil increases the energy density of a ration without increasing the food volume. In energy equivalent, 1L of vegetable oil = 3 kg of barley!
2. They are involved in muscle metabolism:
The use of lipids (oils) in the ration helps spare glycogen stores (energy source in the muscle) and thus delays the onset of fatigue during exertion.
3. These are sources of omega 3 and 6:
Omega 3 and 6 are "Essential Fatty Acids," meaning they cannot be synthesized by the body.
