Handcrafted loose-ring snaffle bit, made of brass and German silver.
The loose rings allow the mouthpiece to move in the horse’s mouth: the horse finds its own position, while the aids remain clear. It is the ultimate working bit. The double-jointed design eliminates the nutcracker effect of a single-jointed bit: the central link lies on the tongue instead of pressing upward against the palate. Pressure is distributed across the bars, tongue, and corners of the mouth. The entire KavalBit range is shaped and finished by hand, using an alloy of 70% brass and 30% German silver. Brass has a taste that horses readily accept and helps encourage salivation; the shanks are made of stainless steel, with no free nickel, making them safe for sensitive horses. Excellent corrosion resistance.

🐎 Why choose this product?
Brass and German silver have a taste that horses readily accept and that helps maintain salivation. Add stainless steel shanks with no free nickel and hand craftsmanship, and you get a bit that is suitable even for horses sensitive to metals.
🧴 Care instructions
Rinse the bit with clean water after every use and dry it: that is all it needs. Avoid the dishwasher and abrasive products, which can dull the metal. Regularly check the wear on the joints and rings, and replace the bit as soon as any play develops.
