LINSEED OIL provides a regular supply of fatty acids rich in omega 3, 6, and 9. This high-quality oil promotes weight gain in thin horses and has a beneficial effect on coat and skin. LINSEED OIL is also suitable for horses in training where it is necessary to increase the energy density of the feed.

Vegetable oils offer many benefits in horse nutrition:
1. They are an energy source:
Adding oil increases the energy density of a ration without increasing the feed volume. In energy terms, 1L of vegetable oil = 3 kg of barley!
2. They play a role in muscle metabolism:
Using lipids (oils) in the feed helps spare glycogen stores (energy source in muscles) and thus delays the onset of fatigue during exercise.
3. These are sources of omega 3 and 6:
Omega 3 and 6 are "Essential Fatty Acids," meaning they cannot be synthesized by the body.
