A Sweet Iron bit does not act through its shape, but through its taste. Its mild-steel mouthpiece has a blue coating that oxidizes when exposed to moisture and air: the resulting surface rust has a sweet flavor that stimulates salivation and helps the horse accept the bit.
The blue color eventually disappears — this is normal, and the taste remains. The mouthpiece is double-jointed, made of three pieces, with the central section lying flat on the tongue. Solid stainless-steel eggbutt rings, 14 mm mouthpiece.

🐎 Why choose this product?
A horse that does not salivate keeps its jaw dry and locked, and the contact remains harsh. While other bits work through their shape, Sweet Iron works by stimulating salivation. It is an option worth trying for a horse that resists contact when no dental cause can be found.
🧴 Care instructions
⚠️ The surface rust is intentional: do not remove it with cleaning products. Rinse the bit with clean water, dry it, and leave it exposed to the air. The blue color fading over the months is not a defect. Measure the mouth width before ordering.
Composition: mild steel, stainless steel.
