The abdominal plate that protects the horse from its own studs.
A stud guard girth features a wide abdominal plate that covers the underside of the horse’s belly. It protects the horse from its own studs when landing after a jump or during cross-country: a stud strike in this area causes a wound that takes a long time to heal. The Standard model is made of supple, padded leather with cold foam padding and an anatomical cut that allows freedom of movement. Stainless steel snap hook, D-rings on the sides, and triple elastic on both sides.

🐎 Why choose this product?
A stud injury to the belly takes weeks to heal and reopens every time the girth is fastened. A plate girth costs less than a month off work.
🧴 Care instructions
Remove mud and sweat with a damp cloth after every ride, then condition the leather with glycerin soap once or twice a month. Leave it to dry flat, away from a heat source: leather that is dried too quickly becomes hard and loses its suppleness.
Composition
80% leather, 7% EVA, 5% polypropylene, 5% stainless steel, 3% cotton.
