These spurs end in a small, smooth 15 mm rowel: it rotates against the horse’s side and distributes the pressure instead of concentrating it at one point. This is the men’s version, from shoe size 41: longer, more widely spaced shanks.

Stainless steel, available with 25 mm and 35 mm shanks. Rubber protectors prevent the shank from marking the boot leather.

🐎 Why choose this product?

When choosing spurs, two things should be considered separately. The shank size depends on your foot: ladies’ for shoe sizes 36 to 40, men’s from size 41 with longer, more widely spaced shanks, and children’s below size 36. Shanks that are too wide slide along the boot, and the spur ends up beneath the heel.

A smooth rowel has no point or teeth: it is the rotation that provides the aid, not an edge. The small 15 mm rowel remains discreet beneath the boot.

The shank length should not be chosen with a ruler: it depends on the horse, your leg position, and the level of the competitions you ride in. If you are unsure, ask us—we will assess it on a case-by-case basis.

🧴 Usage advice

Spurs are positioned at the heel seam of the boot, with the rowel facing downwards. Check that the rowel turns freely: dried mud can block it, and a blocked rowel stops rolling.

Composition: stainless steel, rubber protectors.
