The full sheepskin lining distributes pressure across the entire surface, whereas partial padding creates transitions. This is what accounts for the price difference compared with reinforced models. ⚠️ A half pad cannot correct an ill-fitting saddle. If it compensates for a saddle that is too wide or too narrow, the saddle needs adjusting—not the half pad: used incorrectly, it shifts the problem instead of solving it.
🧴 Care instructions
Place the half pad on a clean, dry back, positioning it well up into the saddle's gullet to clear the withers. ⚠️ Sheepskin should only be washed with a concentrated detergent specially designed for leather, sheepskin, suede, and nubuck: ordinary detergent hardens the leather and felts the wool. Dry flat, never on a heat source.
