The martingale with rings does not lower the horse's head: it limits the upward range of movement and, when the horse raises its head abruptly, redirects the bit's action onto the bars rather than the corners of the mouth.
🧴 Usage advice
⚠️ If adjusted too short, a martingale acts constantly and becomes a restrictive training aid. When correctly adjusted, it does nothing as long as the horse remains within its normal range of movement. Always fit rein stops and use reins with buckles. Clean with glycerin soap, then condition once the leather is dry. ⚠️ Never dry leather near a radiator: it will harden and crack.
