The Oxford hunting bridle features a plain noseband, also known as a French noseband: a single strap positioned above the bit, which acts neither on the jaw nor on the bit. This is the traditional design used for mounted hunting and the most permissive option in the range.
High-quality European leather, padded headpiece, raised and padded browband accented with cream stitching, throatlash adjustable on both sides.

🐎 Why choose this product?
A plain noseband is not an incomplete bridle: it is a choice. On a horse that accepts its bit, it avoids adding unnecessary restriction, and many instructors recommend it for everyday work. The cream stitching also gives it an effortlessly elegant look.
🧴 Usage advice
The plain noseband should sit two fingers below the cheekbone, with enough room for two fingers underneath: it is not designed to close the horse’s mouth. ⚠️ Light-colored stitching can become marked: brush it gently with glycerin soap and avoid dark leather grease.
Composition: European leather, metal.
