A square head grips with its edges without digging in: it is the compromise between the pointed stud, intended for hard ground, and the large stud for soft, muddy ground. W3/8 thread, the most widely used Whitworth thread size on tapped horseshoes in Europe. ⚠️ It is not compatible with an M12-tapped horseshoe: check the thread size of your stud holes before ordering.
🧴 Instructions for use
Clean the stud hole with a tap and then a brush before screwing in the stud: forcing a stud into a clogged hole damages the horseshoe's thread. ⚠️ Remove the studs as soon as the event is over and plug the stud holes: a horse that remains shod with studs in its stall, pasture, or trailer can injure itself while lying down or moving around.
