Handcrafted three-ring bit, made of brass and German silver.
The three rings let you choose the level of action: with the rein on the large ring, the bit works like a snaffle; with the rein on a lower ring, the leverage effect lowers the horse’s neck. An adjustable bit, useful for a strong horse when jumping or riding outdoors. The double-jointed mouthpiece eliminates the nutcracker effect of a single-jointed bit: the central link lies on the tongue instead of rising toward the palate. Pressure is distributed across the bars, tongue, and corners of the mouth. The entire KavalBit range is shaped and finished by hand, using an alloy of 70% brass and 30% German silver. Brass has a taste that horses readily accept and encourages salivation; the shanks are made of stainless steel, with no free nickel, so they pose no risk to sensitive horses. Corrosion resistance is excellent.

🐎 Why choose this product?
Brass and German silver have a taste that horses readily accept and that encourages salivation. Add stainless-steel shanks with no free nickel and handcrafting, and you have a bit that is suitable even for horses sensitive to metals.
🧴 Care instructions
Rinse the bit with clean water after each use and dry it: that is all it needs. Avoid the dishwasher and abrasive products, which can dull the metal. Regularly check the wear on the joints and rings, and replace the bit as soon as any play develops.
