Handcrafted curb bit in brass and German silver.
This is the curb bit used in a double bridle, working together with the bridoon. Its shanks and curb chain create leverage that refines the horse’s outline — intended for a horse that is already balanced and a rider with light hands. The tongue relief, recessed in the center of the mouthpiece, frees the tongue and transfers pressure to the bars. It is chosen for a horse that tries to put its tongue over the bit or needs more room. The entire KavalBit range is shaped and finished by hand from an alloy of 70% brass and 30% German silver. Brass has a taste that horses readily accept and encourages salivation; the shanks are made of stainless steel with no free nickel, making them safe for sensitive horses. Excellent corrosion resistance.

🐎 Why choose this product?
Brass and German silver have a taste that horses readily accept and that encourages salivation. Combined with stainless steel shanks containing no free nickel and hand craftsmanship, they make a bit suitable even for horses sensitive to metals.
🧴 Care instructions
Rinse the bit with clean water after each use and dry it: that is all it needs. Avoid the dishwasher and abrasive products, which dull the metal. Regularly check the wear on the joints and rings, and replace the bit as soon as any play appears.
