🐎 Why choose this product?
The rigid shell is what distinguishes a competition tendon boot from a simple soft shell: it distributes the impact instead of allowing it to pass through. A tendon boot covers the back of the cannon bone, where the hind leg or the other front leg may strike. It should be worn during work, never in the pasture or stable: when worn continuously, it makes the tendon sweat and weakens it instead of protecting it.
🧴 Usage advice
⚠️ The sizes are not determined as usual: S for pony front legs, M for pony hind legs and horse front legs, L for horse hind legs. Place it on a clean, dry leg, with the shell facing outward and the fasteners toward the back and directed outward. Tighten it so that you can slide one finger between the protection and the cannon bone. ⚠️ Remove them as soon as the session ends. Rinse with clean water after each use and leave to air-dry, never on a radiator: the neoprene will harden. Regularly check the condition of the Velcro fasteners, as these are the first part to fail.
