Kavalkade Saddle Pad Size Guide
The four Kavalkade shapes
| Code | Shape | For which saddle |
|---|---|---|
| P-D | Pony dressage | Dressage saddle on a pony or small horse |
| P-VS | Pony all-purpose | All-purpose or jumping saddle on a pony or small horse |
| D | Dressage | Long, straight flaps of a dressage saddle |
| VS | All-purpose | Forward-cut flaps of an all-purpose or jumping saddle |
Choose the shape first based on your saddle's cut, not the horse's size: the flap should fit within the pad without extending beyond it.
Measurements of the sheepskin saddle pads
| Shape | A — back line | B — front height | C — rear height |
|---|---|---|---|
| D — Dressage | 44 cm | 27 cm | 30 cm |
| VS — All-purpose | 47 cm | 25 cm | 28 cm |
Diagram reference points below: A is measured along the top edge, B directly above the withers, C at the back of the flap.
Measurements of the Exclusive varnished saddle pad
| Shape | Dimensions |
|---|---|
| D — Dressage | 63 × 58 cm |
| VS — All-purpose | 67 × 50 cm |
Measurements vary by one to two centimeters from one model to another. If you are unsure between two shapes, measure your saddle, including the flap, and compare it with the back line.
