The internal foam is "memory foam" type, ensuring a constant thickness over years of use, eliminating any risk of helmet tipping in case of sudden movement. Each foam set is intended for a specific helmet size.

The size range goes from 53 to 58 shell M and from 57 to 61 shell L.

The internal comfort pad (liner) of the "memory foam" type guarantees a constant thickness over years of use, and the semi-rigid leather chinstrap eliminates any risk of helmet tipping in case of sudden movement.

This internal comfort pad is removable thanks to a clip system much more durable than scratch/velcro.

Made of breathable synthetic material with high moisture absorption and evaporation performance, it is fully removable and machine washable at 30°C.

Two types of comfort pads (liners) are available:

  • · LINER XC CLOSED (closed at the forehead) optimizes stability.

· LINER XC OPEN (open at the forehead) optimizes airflow

Samshield was founded in 2005 by Sam Maloigne, a horse riding enthusiast and former motocross rider. He created Samshield with the goal of combining safety, comfort, and elegance in riding helmets. The company uses high-quality materials, inspired by motorcycle helmets, to ensure optimal protection for riders. Samshield is also known for its customization options, allowing riders to create a unique helmet tailored to their needs.

The little story...

I founded Sellerie Bucéphale in 2008 by opening a shop in the Drôme department (in France) because, as a dressage rider, I couldn’t find suitable equipment in the area. My presence quickly expanded by attending dressage competitions, local contests, and national and international events.

To meet the needs of all riders, I developed a website, allowing everyone to access high-quality technical products that are tested and approved.

Since 2016, I have been based in the city of Orange (in France) and am a partner of the regional dressage circuits.

I strive to offer custom-made and customizable items, and I place great importance on direct relationships with my customers.
