Soft fleece, quilted filling, and longitudinal quilting: the under-bandage lays flat on the limb without creasing.
The longitudinal quilting is what makes the difference when applying it. Stitched in the direction of wrapping, it prevents the filling from shifting and creating ridges—the flaw that causes pressure points under the bandage. The fleece fabric remains soft and cushions, while a Velcro fastening keeps the under-bandage closed while the bandage is applied. Three sizes cover everything from ponies to large horses.

An under-bandage that creases cancels out all the benefits of the bandage applied over it: pressure becomes concentrated on the crease. Longitudinal quilting is the only construction that reliably prevents this.
