Horses readily follow the hand and quickly accept this type of mouthpiece.

✔ Single joint. This mouthpiece puts less pressure on the tongue than a double-jointed one and works mainly on the bars and sides of the tongue. It is the standard mouthpiece.

✔ A milder version of the three-ring (Pessoa) bit: it provides leverage, which is more direct the lower the rein is attached. The loose rings allow the bit more movement than an eggbutt version.

📋 Technical specifications

Type: 2.5-ring bit

Material: Inno Sense

Mouthpiece: single-jointed

Sizes (mm): 125 / 135 / 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

This is the mouthpiece most horses are familiar with: the one to start with, and the one to return to when you want to determine what comes from the bit and what comes from the hand.

🧴 Directions for use

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimeters: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit ruler, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: if too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if too narrow, it squeezes the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Leverage acts on the poll: use it with a light hand and check the cheekpiece adjustment. ⚠️ Check the mouthpiece regularly: when correctly positioned on the bars, it rarely gets damaged, but a sharp tooth can wear it down.
