When exposed to humid air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit more readily.

✔ A single joint that locks as soon as it bends: under rein tension, the mouthpiece then acts like a straight bar, which intensifies its action. As soon as the tension eases, it becomes a single-jointed mouthpiece again.

✔ Two vertical cheeks on a fixed ring. These cheeks press against the side of the horse's cheek and significantly assist with steering. The ring is smaller than that of a D-ring bit, so the leverage effect is reduced.

✔ Corrective mouthpiece, designed for horses that lean on the hand or run through the contact.

📋 Technical specifications

Type: full-cheek snaffle

Material: Sweet Iron

Mouthpiece: locking joint

Mouthpiece thickness: 16 mm

Sizes (mm): 115 / 125 / 135 / 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

It gives you two bits in one: a single-jointed mouthpiece when the hand is light, and a straight bar as soon as the horse leans on it. The horse discovers for itself that pulling is not worthwhile.

🧴 Usage advice

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit measuring tool, or use the measurement of the bit it currently wears: if it is too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if it is too narrow, it squeezes the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ The upper cheeks are secured to the bridle with keepers to prevent them from tipping forward. ⚠️ The blue colour changes to silver-grey or brown-grey with use, and an orange film appears when the bit remains unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behaviour, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0624/0029/9177/files/E25487_L050_01_a3360382-db77-4ec2-bf27-36e125e191fb.jpg?v=1788473534
