When exposed to humid air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit more readily.

✔ Straight mouthpiece with a high tongue port that provides extensive clearance for the center of the tongue.

✔ The rings slide freely through the mouthpiece, and their large diameter provides more leverage than a standard ring.

📋 Technical specifications

Type: large loose-ring bit

Material: Sweet Iron

Mouthpiece: high tongue port

Mouthpiece thickness: 16 mm

Sizes (mm): 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

The greatest tongue freedom in the range, for a horse that cannot tolerate any central pressure.

🧴 Care and use instructions

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a measuring gauge, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: if too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Fit rubber bit guards: it is between the movable ring and the mouthpiece that the corner of the mouth gets pinched. ⚠️ The blue colour turns silver-grey or brown-grey with use, and an orange film appears when the bit remains unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behaviour, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful. ⚠️ The higher the port, the more important it is to check that it does not come into contact with the palate.

https://selleriebucephale.com/en/products/mors-trust-sweet-iron-a-grands-anneaux-libres-a-passage-de-langue-haut
