When exposed to humid air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit more readily.

✔ Straight mouthpiece with a medium tongue relief: more room for the tongue and less pressure on its center.

✔ The rings slide freely through the mouthpiece, and their large diameter provides more leverage than an ordinary ring.

📋 Technical specifications

Type: large loose-ring bit

Material: Sweet Iron

Mouthpiece: medium tongue relief

Mouthpiece thickness: 16 mm

Sizes (mm): 115 / 125 / 135 / 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

The most common compromise between pressure on the bars and tongue freedom.

🧴 Usage advice

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimeters: this is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a measuring gauge, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Fit rubber bit guards: it is between the movable ring and the mouthpiece that the corner of the mouth gets pinched. ⚠️ The blue color turns silver-gray or brown-gray with use, and an orange film appears when the bit is left unused: this is the normal functioning of Sweet Iron, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0624/0029/9177/files/E27025_L050_01_d1f575a0-e52a-4e8b-83ce-5582db64de0b.jpg?v=1788471924
https://selleriebucephale.com/en/products/mors-trust-sweet-iron-a-grands-anneaux-libres-a-passage-de-langue-moyen
