When exposed to moist air and saliva, it develops a sweet-tasting surface oxidation that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit more readily.

✔ One-piece, curved mouthpiece with no joint.

✔ The rings slide freely through the mouthpiece, and their large diameter provides more leverage than a standard ring.

📋 Technical specifications

Type: loose-ring bit with large rings

Material: Sweet Iron

Mouthpiece: curved

Mouthpiece thickness: 16 mm

Sizes (mm): 125

🐎 Why choose this product?

A one-piece mouthpiece whose curve accommodates the centre of the tongue.

🧴 Usage advice

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: this is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit ruler, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: if it is too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if it is too narrow, it squeezes the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Fit rubber bit guards: pinching occurs between the loose ring and the mouthpiece. ⚠️ The blue colour turns silver-grey or brown-grey with use, and an orange film appears when the bit is left unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behaviour, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0624/0029/9177/files/E27015_L050_01_725fb451-d28c-405c-aaeb-9d684add9d5c.jpg?v=1788471842
