When exposed to moist air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit better.

✔ Double-jointed with a wide tongue relief. Unlike other double-jointed bits, it reduces pressure on the tongue instead of increasing it.

✔ Fixed-ring cheekpiece extended by an upper shank to which the bridle attaches. The bit remains very stable in the horse's mouth.

✔ Used on horses that do not accept pressure on the tongue.

📋 Technical specifications

Type: Baucher bit

Material: Sweet Iron

Barrel: Wideport Segundo with tongue relief

Barrel thickness: 16 mm

Sizes (mm): 115 / 125 / 135 / 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

The only double-jointed bit that reduces pressure on the tongue instead of increasing it: the answer for horses that resist tongue pressure.

🧴 How to use

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: it is the width of the barrel from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a measuring gauge, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: if too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ The blue colour turns silver-grey or brown-grey with use, and an orange film appears when the bit is left unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behaviour, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0624/0029/9177/files/E26429_L050_01_f05711f8-51d5-4fff-8cc4-56e90ca46275.jpg?v=1788643845
https://selleriebucephale.com/en/products/mors-trust-sweet-iron-baucher-wideport-segundo-a-passage-de-langue
