When exposed to humid air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit better.

✔ Straight mouthpiece with a medium tongue port: more room for the tongue and less pressure on its center.

✔ Curb bit whose mouthpiece pivots on the shanks: the action comes into effect more gradually than with fixed shanks. It is used on a double bridle, together with a snaffle, and with a curb chain.

📋 Technical specifications

Type: curb bit with rotating shanks

Material: Sweet Iron

Mouthpiece: medium tongue port

Mouthpiece thickness: 16 mm

Sizes (mm): 115 / 125 / 135 / 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

The most common compromise between pressure on the bars and tongue freedom.

🧴 Instructions for use

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimeters: this is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a measuring gauge, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: if too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if too narrow, it squeezes the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ A curb bit must always be used with a snaffle and a curb chain, with two pairs of reins. ⚠️ The blue color turns silver-gray or brown-gray with use, and an orange film appears when the bit is left unused: this is the normal functioning of Sweet Iron, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0624/0029/9177/files/E25570_L050_01_93ecd537-e79b-485e-8831-86dd8dfedf46.jpg?v=1788710553
https://selleriebucephale.com/en/products/mors-trust-sweet-iron-de-bride-a-branches-tournantes-a-passage-de-langue-moyen
