A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a measuring gauge, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. Choose the thickness according to the mouth: a thick mouthpiece distributes pressure over a larger surface, but takes up too much space in a shallow mouth or one with a thick tongue. ⚠️ With a single rein, a connector strap is required between the large ring and the lower ring. A curb chain is essential. ⚠️ The blue colour turns silver-grey or brown-grey with use, and an orange film appears when the bit is left unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behaviour, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it.
